Is McKendree UMC beginning to feel like home? Discover McKendree is a four-week class designed to introduce the church’s mission, history, beliefs, and ways to connect. Whether new to McKendree or exploring next steps, this class offers a welcoming place to learn and grow.

Men of McKendree Weekly Prayer Call
What: A time for men to gather via Zoom to pray for our families, church, community and nation, as well as, ourselves. We'll generally gather for a couple of minutes, begin lifting up topics of prayer & praise, then wrap up after 15 to 20 minutes.

UNTANGLING FAITH - FALL 2025 WOMEN'S STUDY
WHAT: Have you ever felt you struggled to find your faith footing? We will join Amberly Neese to explore the questions Jesus asked as a way to reclaim that faith. Our class will discuss questions like, Can God Be Trusted? and How Can I Grow in Faith? Amberly’s unique humor and wit and our discussions will guide us to find our way through deep and rich issues of personal faith, doubt, and growth.
WHO: All Women are Invited
WHY: Your questions can lead to a deeper faith and trust in God.

COST: The book costs will be approximately $15 per person, and you will pay the church through the app or check. The books will be distributed at the first meeting as we meet and greet each other.

Prayer Saturday Workshops
Prayer is for everyone - not just experts. You don’t need special words or training. You don’t even need to know how to sit still for long. In these sessions, we’ll try prayer practices that meet us where we are and invite us closer to God in creative hands-on ways.

What is GriefShare? At GriefShare you’ll receive valuable guidance and tips, leading you to relief, comfort, and peace of mind. During GriefShare you’ll be part of a support group to help you move through the grief process.
GriefShare Support Group meets in Room 316 in the Education Building on Monday nights for 13 weeks beginning August 11, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
McKendree Women Connect
Women Connect Self-Defense Class: We will have a special guest, Sue (from the karate class at the preschool). She will teach a self-defense class for women, youth, and young ladies.
When: Saturday, August 9th, 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Where: Fellowship Hall
Please bring a dish to share for the potluck for 6-8 people.
