The best way to get involved in any community is to join a group and get to know people! At McKendree UMC, we have many different groups and classes to check out and would love to help you find the one that is right for you! Note that the GIFT Sunday School Class has an online option.

Sunday Morning Small Groups
The Well: A mixed age adult Sunday School class that meets at 11:00 a.m. in Room 311. Current study: Context by Josh Scott. Facilitator: Brian Green
Life Changing Class: Growing in faith together. A mixed age adult Sunday School class that meets at 10:45 a.m. in room 316. Current study: The Fruit of the Spirit (LifeChange). Facilitator: Jennifer Harrell
The Gift Sunday School Class: Growing in Faith Together. Meets at 9:30 a.m. in Room 311 and also on Zoom. Current study: The Book of Romans. Facilitator: Harold Benton
Seekers: A mixed-age adult women’s Sunday School class that meets at 9:00 a.m. in Room 313. Current study: The Book of Jonah. Facilitator: Carol McEntee
Small Groups at Other Times
Standing in the Gap: We are kicking off a new small group for Young-ish Adults, age 18+. Are you college-aged, young parents, seasoned parents, or everything in between? Then Standing in the Gap is the group for you! Meets on the second and fourth Sunday after church for one hour from 12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. in the Zoom Room 311 in the Education Building. Sarah and Crystal share what a difference the parent survival group “Raise em up” has made in their lives.
Raise ‘Em Up Parent Survival Group: an uplifting weekly parent survival group for raising today's kids. During the school year starting September 4, 2024, meets Wednesdays in Room 316 at 9:30-10:30 a.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m.

All are invited and welcome to attend at any time! Both sessions cover the same topics and discussions. We plan to have a mixture of literature, videos, guest speakers, fun activities, community service projects, and – as always – wonderful fellowship with other parents.
Our first Bible study of the year is Mom Set Free by Jeannie Cunnion. This is a wonderful Bible study for moms who are exhausted or discouraged, and seeking to reconnect with God through His Word.
