During the season of Lent, McKendree UMC invites you to participate in a special offering for missions. This is an opportunity to align Lenten practices with generosity, supporting mission initiatives locally and globally.
How to Participate:
Use whatever your Lenten practice is to support missions:
Giving up worry? Each time you find yourself worrying, place a quarter in a jar.
Giving up chocolate or coffee? Donate what you would have spent.
Taking on a new practice? Consider setting aside a weekly gift for missions.
By Easter, these intentional acts will provide tangible support for mission efforts.
McKendree UMC Missions Support:
Mission gifts will help provide food, shelter, clean water, and disaster relief through Lawrenceville Co-Op, Rainbow Village, UMCOR, Rise Against Hunger, missionaries and water filter programs in Nepal, missionaries in South Asia, and ministry partnerships in Liberia.
For more details on these missions, visit mckendreeumc.org/serve.
