Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church
Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church, where every single person matters, period. We invite people from all walks of life and hope they feel welcomed. We trust that when we worship together, serve together, pray together, eat together, and do life together that God is present. That changes everything!

Acolytes remind us that the light of Christ is present when we gather.
YOU’RE INVITED TO SUNDAY WORSHIP
9:30 AM Praise and Worship
This Praise and Worship Service offers a more relaxed atmosphere. The McKendree Praise Team leads a wide range of worship songs that help usher you into the presence of God.
11:00 AM Traditional Worship
This Traditional Worship Service features music from the choir, piano, bell choirs, orchestra, and a wide variety of ensembles and soloists. Sing hymns and embrace liturgy that inspires reverence towards God.
THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU
You don’t need to be a member of the church to be part of cookouts, small groups, Wednesday meals or any other events. Consider this your official invitation and check out some of the ways you can grow and serve with McKendree UMC.
VBS WORSHIP (ONESERVICE at 11:00 AM) & LUNCH PARTY at 12:00 PM
The VBS fun continues! Come celebrate day 5 of VBS with one service of worship, followed by lunch and fun!
Lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall directly after the service, and we will continue the party out in our back parking lot. Prepare to get wet as we will have a foam bubble cannon (water shoes are recommended)! We plan to make it a Deep Blue Sea adventure for everyone.
We need our church to show up and show out to welcome VBS families and show what fertile ground McKendree is. We will also need some folks to help set up, clean up, and for hospitality. Please let Sarah How know if you are available.

Women of McKendree, you are invited for an afternoon of painting fun at The Sketching Pad in Conyers, GA. We will carpool after church on June 29 and enjoy lunch while we paint pottery or canvases.
What do you want to paint?
Pottery options can be chosen at the studio.
But, if you think you want to paint a canvas, please make your selection HERE. Your canvas will be pre-sketched when you arrive.
Sign Up for the trip. Lunch will be provided. Project costs vary and you will pay at the studio. The sign-up form provides more specifics about the cost.

The DISCIPLE Bible study gives the Old and New Testaments equal time, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. The study draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading and study of the participant, and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible.
Classes start on Wednesday, August 6, from 5:30 - 8:00 PM.
