Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church
Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church, where every single person matters, period. We invite people from all walks of life and hope they feel welcomed. We trust that when we worship together, serve together, pray together, eat together, and do life together that God is present. That changes everything!

Acolytes remind us that the light of Christ is present when we gather.
YOU’RE INVITED TO SUNDAY WORSHIP
9:30 am Praise and Worship
This service offers a more relaxed atmosphere. The McKendree Praise Team leads a wide range of worship songs that help usher you into the presence of God.
11 am Traditional Worship
This service features music from the choir, piano, bell choirs, orchestra, and a wide variety of ensembles and soloists. Sing hymns and embrace liturgy that inspires reverence towards God.
THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU
You don’t need to be a member of the church to be part of cookouts, small groups, Wednesday meals or any other events. Consider this your official invitation and check out some of the ways you can grow and serve with McKendree UMC.
This Holy Week, help us create a powerful, interactive experience for our congregation and community through the Stations of the Cross Prayer Walk, held April 15-18. This year’s journey will reflect the passion story as told in the Gospel of Luke, inviting participants to encounter Jesus’ final hours through art, scripture, devotions, and interactive elements.
We need You to bring this prayer walk to life! You are invited to share your creativity in one or more ways. Learn more here.
Throughout March, McKendree UMC is collecting supplies for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to support disaster response ministries. These essential supplies will be distributed to areas affected by disasters, providing relief to families in need.
During the season of Lent, McKendree UMC invites you to participate in a special offering for missions. This is an opportunity to align Lenten practices with generosity, supporting mission initiatives locally and globally.
This Lent, embrace the season of reflection and sacrifice by making a difference through mission giving.
